In the Big Barn, built by our great-great Uncle Phillip.
Inside, you can grab a trail map, a drink and a snack or a walking stick before heading out on your adventure. And if there are special events - a Mother’s Day tea, a whodunnit mystery or a scavenger hunt - you’ll want to stop by for your game pieces and instructions.
We also open the barn for classes and small, informal special events at our custom-built, 16-feet banquet table. For more information, contact us here.
Step outside to the barnyard to visit with the Highlands, led by matriarch Rosie. As a matter of respect and FOR YOUR SAFETY, keep the fence between you and them. Violators will be asked to immediately leave the property.
Additionally, if our frequent guests, Cocoa and Sugar are visiting, they’d love for you to give them some of that fresh clover.
Your adventure starts here...
New in 2024:
On special occasions, we'll convert our barnyard into a Sassy Heifer patio. Refuel with light snacks or refreshments with your dining companions - the Highlands.
Please don't share your munchies with them. They prefer pasture!
Join us Mother's Day as we set out tea and pastries to honor the special women in our lives on the new Sassy Heifer patio.

Hiking Trails
Wander a mile and a half of trails that wind through pastures, across creeks, under a shady woodland canopy, and up to Dave’s Hill - a perfect spot to catch your breath as you take in the panoramic view of the surrounding hills. Look closely. Can you see the water tower in the distance? That’s Marietta.

Beautiful Views
Dave’s Hill offers an exquisitely peaceful spot, whether it’s exercise you seek, an adventure, a romantic moment or a place to camp or glamp. As always, comfy shoes are a must, and hiking boots are recommended.

Hammocking
It’s the last major stop before heading back to the farmhouse. Throw off the hiking boots for a bit, and refuel here at the hammocking station underneath a cool shade of towering hickory trees. (Look carefully; you’ll spot lots of nuts on the ground in the fall.)
On nonpublic weekends, the hammocking area is available for group rentals.
